The coldest most effecent killing machines ever built are IG Assassin Droids. When these droids were created their programmers smugly thought they could control there creation, and they also programmed it with uprecedented creativity and intellegence, and they paid for it with their lives. The Project Phlutdroid was a top-secret undertaking that was financed by the Imperial Supervisor Gurdun at the Laboratories of Holowan Mechanics. The IG assassin droids head technician was Chief Technican Loruss who developed a team of mechanical annihalators. The IG series of assassin droids was designed for the specific task of eliminating the Rebel Alliance, she also approved the use of experimental automomous combat programming, and only five prototypes were completed. These droids are a rough humanoid shape which is armed with a blaster resistant armor frame that stands at 2 meters tall. The units cylindrical head which is studded with glowing red sensors allows the unit to see in all directions at one time. The IG droids were equipped with olfactory detectors but it made up for this handy cap with an advanced auditory, radionic, movement, and tempature sensors. The droids multiple optic lenses could access a wide variety of spectral filters under hazy or low-light conditions. The IG assassin series was armed with a very inpressive arsinal, especially when one relized that all the arsenal is integrated directly and unobtrusively in the body. Each of the droids fore arms contains a repeating blaster cannon, and a concussion missle launcher was built into the left hip, and also behind various pannels and ports there was a flamethrower, a sonic stunner, a paralysis cord, an array of throwing flechettes, and a rack of poison gas canisters. The droids fingers on its right hand were equipped with miniature cutting lasers, and the mirrored palm of the left hand is capable of intercepting blaster bolts and delfecting them back along their orginal path. The unit was also equipped so that it could raise the tempature of its outside to allow it to burn through nets, or to melt a stream of immobilizing Stokhli spray. When Loruss's experimental sentience programming was downloaded into one of the finished droids the code unexpectedly self-replicated at a blinding speed. Almost within seconds the droid can on-line and identified the technicians in the room as threats, and in turn eliminated them. The unit was IG-88A, which after killing the techs he then decided to copy his consciousness into three duplicates, who were designated B, C and D. The final prototype IG-72 struck out on his own. | |
