The system of Bestine is the location of the Empires idea of a new high-security base, and when they decided to open it the entire population of Bestine IV was evacuated to make room. Bestine is a world that has high gravity and is the fourth planet from the sun, and is the only habitable world in the entire system, and thus made the perfect location for the Empires new stardocks and high-security op centers. The citizens of Bestine had struggled for years to get there colony off to a start and were stubborn and after the Empire promissed them a better life somewhere else the reluctantly aggreed to leave. The Bestine colonists were outraged when the Empire's promisses turned out to be empty and they swore revenge. The pilot of Jek Porkins was a first rate pilot and had learned to pilot his T-16 skyhopper through Bestine's atolls and spearing sink-crabs with precise bursts of laser fire, and after this incident he vowed that the Empire would pay and he joined the Rebel Alliance. When the Empire's new station was near completion an Imperial informate tipped the commanding officer off to some shady dealings on Kestic Station, and that it had been supplying the Rebel Alliance with weapons. So he ordered the station to be destroyed and the Star Destroyer Merciless blasted the station to scrap and killed Zev Senesca's parents and in that incident the Alliance gained another talented pilot.
