The system of Bilbringi is a lifeless system that is filled with rocky worlds with rich and heavy metals, and is most known as the site of the Empire's Bilbringi Ship Yards. The system is filled with asteroids and drifting debries that litter the space around the entire system. The Empire's Bilbringi Ship Yards is one of the largest ship yards in the galaxy and is located in the Bilbringi system. To defend the Bilbringi ship yards against attack General Drost brought in four Golan II Battle Platforms and each bristling with turbolasers, tractor beams, and torpedo launchers. Durring Grand Admiral Thrawn's campaign after the death of the Emperor Admiral Ackbar and Wedge Antillies planned an attack on the Bilbringi Ship Yards, and at the same time Thrawn was planning to defend Bilbringi against the Alliance attack. When the smugglers coalition and Karrde attacked Bilbringi they assumed the suprise Imperial Force was for them since they had hit Bilbringi before, but Thrawn waited for the Alliance to arrive to attack and as so as Ackbar's force dropped out of hyperspace Thrawn pounced on Ackbar with his Star Destroyers. The Golan II's then became the target of the smugglers which caused Thrawn to split his forces, and at the same time Thrawn's personal Noghri bodyguard stabbed his master through the back, and as soon as the red glow dissapeared from Thrawn's eyes Captain Pellaeon ordered a full and immediate retreat, leaving the Bilbringi Ship Yards to the New Republic.
