The planet of Endor is the location of one of the greatest battles in Galactic History, where it saw the end of the Galactic Empire, and the end of the Rebel Alliance and the formation of the New Republic. This world is located in the remote Endor System which is located in the Moddell Sector. Endor is a silvery gas gaint that is orbited by nine moons. The largest of Endor's moons in the size of a small planet and is variously known as the forest moon, the sanctuary moon, or often simply as Endor. The Endor System is difficult to reach because it is in uncharted territory and the massive gravitational shadow of the gas gaint makes it so ships have to make several comlicated hyperspace jumps. Over the many years there have been many star travelers that have crashed and been stranded on the habitable moon. Endor is a tempeare moon with forests, savannas, and mountains, and it also has relatively light gravity. The climate is suitable for many life forms and native ones that include; the Endoran pony, the Endoran vethiraptor, boarwolves, glowing sprites called Wisties, fast michievous Teeks, winged condor dragons, gunlabirds, predatory Yootaks, and stump-dwelling tempaters that lure prey with their camouflaged, articulated tongues. The most common species on Endor is the Ewoks which are primative and furry creatures that live in dwellings high in the trees. The Galactic Empire selected the world of Endor and its forest moon as the perfect location for the Second Death Star's construction location, and also on the forest moon the Empire established a base that had a shield generator to protect the Death Star during construction. A Rebel Alliance strike force that included Han Solo and Princess Leia Organa destroyed the shield generator with the help of the Ewoks, which allowed Lando Calrissian and Wedge Antillies to destroy the second Death Star and for the Rebel fleet to bring destruction down on the Galactic Empire.
