The world of Ithor is a bright green and blue planet with multiple moons in the Ottega system, and is located in the Lesser Plooriod Cluster. The systems fourth planet Ithor is home to the nature-loving Ithorians, who are commonly called Hammerheads. The world of Ithor is a beautiful, humid, world of unspoiled rain forests, rivers, and waterfalls. The three continents have been developed, althought they still apear to be overgrown jungles to most visitors. The Ithorians consider the jungles sacred and enter it only durring emergencys. To live the Ithorians have constructed giant floating cities (also called herd ships) that hover above the Bafforr treetops in no particular pattern. At certain times the "Mother Jungle" has been known to call certian Ithorians to live on the surface as ecological priets who never return to their herd cities. All Ithorians are bound by the Ithorian Law of Life, which states that for every planet harvested two must be planeted in it place. Every five years the Ithorians gather at their planet for the Meet, where the most important decisions regarding Ithorian Society are made. Durring this time the Herd ships link up through an intricate and graceful network of bridges and antigrav platforms. Years ago, the Imperial Captain Alima, commander of the Imperial Star Destroyer Conquest, forced the Ithorian Momaw Nadon to reveal secret agricultural and cloning information. Nadon, High Priest of Tafanda Bay gave up the information to save the rain forests and his herd city from destruction, and for this transgression Nadon was exiled from Ithor and lived on Tatooine for many years untill exacting his revenge on Alima. The Ithorian herd cities are commond tourist destinations. | |
