The world of Ord Mantell is located in the out-worlds, and the planet is circled by numerous moons. The planets points-of-interest include its canyon-rimmed spaceport, and Ten Mile Plateau, located in the rocky backcountry. Ord Mantell is supposidly free of Imperial Interests but Ord Mantell was hosting Imperial Fleet manuvers when Han Solo arrived there to repair the Millennium Falacon following the Battle of Yavin. Ord Mantell was the location where Han Solo was almost captured by the Bounty Hunter Skorr. Also six years after the Battle of Endor Ord Mantell was the location of an assault that was staged by Grand Admiral Thrawn to create fear in the surrounding system and to ease New Republic preasure on his shipyard supply lines. | |
