The average citizens of the galaxy take holograms for granted, but the technology used to run these units is quite cutting-edge. One of these units that is small enough to fit on a belt is the Corellidyne CQ-3.9x Holographic Image Disguiser, uses a miniaturized Corellidyne CP-3.3 hologram projector. This unit was one orginally designed for the entertainment industry and military uses. This projector incorporates remarkable advances in image output, projection density, and light manipulation to create its lifelike holograms. The units holoshroud projects a prerecorded likeness of another person, and is capable of projecting an image much greater in size than the actual user is. The hologram projector is small but its computer is still advanced enough to match the movements of the operator perfectly. Although the projector is highly advanced its power supply only lasts for two minutes, and when it gets down to the final 15 seconds a warning tone sounds. The small package of the CP-3.3 doesn't have the capability to record an image, so any image that is wanted must be scanned by a Corellidyne high-denisity CX-3.1 hologram recorder and then uploaded into the CP-3.3. The CX-3.1 hologram recorder has a data intake nearly a thousand time greater than that of a standard hologram recorder, and is able to replecate every element of the subect's apperance and movement. The limit to the CP-3.3 memory is limited to holding only on image at a time. Even though the unit has a small memory and battery spain, it does command a price tag of 25,000 credits each. Even though it has a short battery life the portable holoshrouds do provide excellent short-term disguises. Even though they make great short-term desigues, many holoshrouds are mainly used in amusement park rides. These types of holograms are called immersion holographic enviorments, and are featured at entertainment parks such as Hologram Fun World. | |
