When a force launches a full-scale planetary invasion mobile blaster artillery play a key role in the attack, by knocking out targets such as transportation centers, troop bases, and military fortresses. Also along with being a siege assault weapon it can be affective against capital ships in low altitudes. The MAS-2xB has massive power requirements that are feed by a single Republic Engineering Corporation 4.2FC Fusion power core. The MAS-2xB's primary turbolaser "pulse" uses an amplification dish positioned around the turbolaser actuator to galven the energy beam, and bosting its range up to an optimum range of 10 kilometers, and a maximum range of 30 kilometers. The laser has an output that of a star destroyers turbolaser which allows it to blast through up to 20 meters of durasteel. The demand on power allows the weapon to only be fired once every minute, and the entire weapon is cooled by four rows of cooling chambers that are filled with meter-long cryogenic cylinders that wrap the power core, the energy capacitors, and the pulsor itself. The blaster artillery is also equipped with 2 turbolaser turrents and a quad heavy laser cannon turrent which is used to defend against counter-attacks, and also the 6 small shield generators and two-meter-thick armor plating can ward off enemy blasts. The MAS-2xB's mass is so great that it is moved by 7 repulsorlift drives, and gives the weapon a flight ceiling of 50 meters and a top speed of 45 kilometers per hour. The MAS-2xB requires a crew of 15 soldiers that includes 6 technicians and engineers. | |
