Bodo Baas was part of a Jedi Group that lived in the system of Adega, six hundred years before Luke Skywalker destroyed the first Death Star. He became a Jedi Master and inhereted one of the Jedi Holocrons which he recorded his stories onto so they could be used in the future. The Holocron would only work if you were force sensitive, and you had to touch it to activated it, each holocron had a gatekeeper Bodo Baas became the gatekeeper for his holocron. Emperor Palpatine had Bodo Baas executied and kept his holocron to learn the secrets of the force, the deeper levels of the holocron were only for Jedi's who used the light side of the force. Six years after the destruction of the first Death Star Princess Leia Organa Solo was on Byss when she found Bodo Baas holocron. Leia and several other Rebels escaped on board the Millenium Falcon while Luke stayed behind to destroy the Clone of Emperor Palpatine, Leia listened to the stories of Bodo Baas. Luke Skywalker later used the holocron at his Jedi Academy on Yavin 4.
