Corran Horn is one of Rouge Squadrons best pilots, he is also a third-generation Corellian Security (CorSec) officer. Corran's grandfather was a Jedi Knight and he fought in the Clone Wars, and it troubled Corran's dad when Vader used CorSec to hunt down and kill the Jedi. After his mother and fathers death Corran had no desire to remain in CorSec. With the help of his former CorSec mentor Gil Bastra he made his way to the Rebel Alliance. He started flying in fighter squadrons and he was promoted to Lieutenant and he was moved to Rouge Squadron because of his simulator scores. Durring a Stormtrooper raid at Talasea Horn and Ooryl saved Rouge Squadron, and Corran suffered a punchered lung and recovered. When Corran's Z-95 Headhunter crashed on Courscant durring the Alliance invasion of Coruscant he was brought on board the Super Star Destroyer Lusankya, he escaped with the help of a fellow prisoner Jan Dodanna. After his escape Luke Skywalker offered Corran the chance to become part of his new Jedi Academy. He declined and returned to help the prisoners aboard the Lusankya escape, and later he did come back and train to become a Jedi Knight at Luke Skywalker's Jedi Academy.
