General Jan Dodonna was in the old order before Emperor Palpatines rule, when Jan though that his freind had died he retired from the service. When Palpatine took over his record was looked over and it was decided that Jan was too old to be retrained so they ordered him to death. When the day came for him to be executed a band of rebels that had asked him before to aid the Rebellion came and rescued Jan. Jan Dodonna would a name for himself as the man who lead the assault on the first Death Star.
